The Community Foundation of West Georgia’s Power of the Purse (POP) giving circle is proud to announce the recipients of its 2025 grants. This year, POP awarded $18,000 in funding to ten local organizations dedicated to improving the lives of women and children in Carroll, Haralson, and Heard counties.
The 2025 grantees are:
• Be the Light Medical Missions – Hypertension Supplies for the Uninsured
• Carroll County CASA, Inc. – Volunteer Training Support
• Chase The Victory – Support Groups for Grieving Children in West Georgia
• Giving Hearts, Inc. – Summer Sustenance for Kids Meal Initiative
• Haralson County Family Connection – Literacy Bus
• Keep Carroll Beautiful Inc. – 2025 Community Garden Support
• MPACK – 2025 Summer Camp
• Rapha Clinic of West Georgia – Women’s Health Initiative 2025/26
• THS Emergency Shelter, Inc. (THS Shelter) – Cuts of Kindness / Totes of Hope
• Three Rivers Regional Commission – Emergency Response Buttons for Seniors
In total, POP received over $40,000 in grant requests — a clear sign of the growing need in our community.
“Every year, we see more worthy projects than we have funds to support — and that’s where local women can truly make a difference,” said Kim Jones, President of the Community Foundation of West Georgia. “When you become a member of POP, you’re helping us say ‘yes’ to more organizations. The more people we have working together, the more money we have to grant out next year.”
