Departure Returns To AMP

Get ready for a night of classic rock nostalgia!
The Journey tribute band Departure is coming back to The Amp at Adamson Square for a free concert on Saturday, July 19, with special guest Mad Margritt kicking things off at 8PM.

Known for replicating the look, sound and feel of the iconic ‘80s rock band Journey, Departure delivers a high-energy stage show with live vocals, no pre-recorded tracks, and spot-on performances. Frontman Brian Williams channels Steve Perry with incredible vocal range and stage presence — tuxedo jacket and all. The band, together for 17 years, features Doug Ballard (bass), Jason Wilson (guitar), Joel Hayes (keyboard/guitar), and Chris Stone (drums) — and every member contributes vocals.

Opening the show, Mad Margritt, an explosive hard rock band out of Atlanta, brings their signature high-octane sound to the stage. With multiple CD releases and a tour history that includes bands like Ratt, Skid Row and Tesla, their set is sure to fire up the crowd.
