At this month’s board meeting, we celebrated some outstanding student achievements. Several Bremen High track and field athletes were recognized as state champions, including winners in high jump, shot put, and the boys’ 4×800 relay. The girls’ team placed 3rd in the state, and the boys’ team placed 4th—an incredible accomplishment for our athletes and coaches.
The board also reviewed July’s financial report, which showed steady local tax collections and a slight increase in non-resident student enrollment.
Several items were approved, including policy updates, contracts for student services, facility improvements at the softball field, and upcoming community events.
Personnel updates included new hires for ELL/SPED, a paraprofessional at Jones Elementary, after-school program staff, substitute bus drivers, and several community coaches for band, softball, wrestling, and football.
It was a great evening of recognizing student success and preparing for another strong school year.
