The Carrollton Wind Ensemble’s fall concert celebrates the music of legendary film composer John Williams, October 18 at the Center for the Arts.
The Best of John Williams will include the movie maestro’s iconic music from Star Wars, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Superman, Harry Potter, Schindler’s List, Jurassic Park and other blockbuster films.
“John Williams’s music has defined the sound of modern cinema and continues to inspire audiences of all ages,” said the CWE’s director, Terry Lowry. “His music has inspired three generations of musicians to take up their instruments. Our program showcases the sweep and drama of his greatest themes.”
The show starts at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at carrolltonarts.com, by phone at 770-838-1083 or at the center’s box office at 251 Alabama Street.
