UWG Theatre presents Frankenstein

The UWG Theatre Company is honored to present Nick Dear’s Frankenstein, based on the gothic novel by Mary Shelley, which powerfully retells the well-known story from the point of view of The Creature. This dark and critically acclaimed story serves as a terrific opener for the University of West Georgia Theatre Company’s 2025-2026 “Opposites Attract” Season! Nick Dear’s Frankenstein follows Victor Frankenstein, a troubled scientist frustrated by traditional scientific methods. After Victor successfully manages to create life from science, the bewildered Creature is abandoned to discover a world of cruelty, prejudice and fear wherever he goes.

Fueled by the desperate craving for a companion, The Creature is determined to track down Victor Frankenstein. Will Victor Frankenstein find himself wondering the nature of good and evil and fall into the vengeful hands of The Creature? Who will get hurt in the process? This grotesque drama is sure to keep the audience to the edge of their seats. Join us, and make Frankenstein a part of your Halloween adventure!
