Threads of Time: Quilting as Women’s Storytelling
Threads of Time: Quilting as Women’s Storytelling, an immersive fundraiser that brings to life the voices, artistry, and lived experiences of late 19th-century women. Inspired by The Quilters: Women and Domestic Art, an Oral History, this special program features dramatic readings performed by locals, who will embody the real women whose words shaped this landmark oral history. The event will also include live textile demonstrations, a quilt raffle, and an assortment of desserts.
Shows will be held at The Birches on Maple, 100 Maple View Dr, Carrollton, GA 30117. There will be two performances Friday, April 17 at 7:00 pm and Sunday, April 19 at 2:00 pm. Doors open 30 minutes prior to showtime. General admission is $50, members are $45. All proceeds benefit the Southeastern Quilt and Textile Museum.
