Mellow Mushroom – the stone-baked pizza bakers with 160+ locations nationwide – announces that its new, nearly 3,000-square-foot location opens in Newnan, Georgia today, July 13. Located at 733 Bullsboro Drive, the restaurant marks the brand’s 45th location in Georgia and operates as a company-owned store.
Newnan is the brand’s second location (following Atlanta’s Grant Park) that mirrors one of the company’s new restaurant formats: featuring counter service ordering for both food and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, modern retro design and inventive new menu additions.

The Newnan location offers a familiar lineup of hand-tossed, stone-baked pizzas and Mellow vibes along with vibrant selections of shareable munchies, salads, remixed sandwiches, smash-style burgers and sweet treats. Guests can also enjoy handcrafted cocktails and a diverse selection of beer and wine, all of which can be ordered at the counter or through a dining room attendant. The outpost also channels retro-psychedelic nostalgia through warm tones and 1970s-inspired design elements, reimagined with a modern touch. The space blends vintage character with contemporary style, creating an atmosphere that feels both familiar and new.
Touted for its devout following and counterculture essence, Mellow Mushroom blends the boundaries between art, music, high-quality ingredients and passionate standards for dining. Widely known as the originator of hand-tossed, stone-baked, one-of-a-kind pizza, the main menu – anchored by its coveted “secret dough” recipe – boasts fan-favorite pizzas like the Holy Shiitake Pie with olive oil and garlic base, shiitake, button and portobello mushrooms, caramelized onions, mozzarella, Wisconsin aged white cheddar, a garlic aioli swirl, a spritz of black truffle oil & fresh chives. Highly customizable Build-Your-Own pizzas are also available, creating the perfect canvas for a kaleidoscope of ingredients with options for meat-lovers, vegetarians, vegans, gluten-free and other dietary-conscious diners.
As part of the brand’s continued evolution, Mellow Mushroom recently introduced a refreshed selection of salads with flavor-forward ingredients and new, chef-driven recipes that pair with its signature psychedelic pizzas – an update that is available at the Newnan location. The new outpost is also opening with a recently refined menu of sandwiches and wraps, including a Beer Cheese Philly made with steak, bell peppers, caramelized onions & garlic aioli, topped with beer cheese & tangy peppers, and a Chicken Caesar Wrap featuring melty mozzarella with chicken, shredded romaine, grated Parmesan & pickled red onions tossed in Caesar dressing.
