Jim ‘N Nick’s Plans New Restaurant at Former Hooters Site in Newnan

A new restaurant is planned for a familiar property along Newnan’s busy Bullsboro Drive corridor, with Jim ‘N Nick’s Community Bar-B-Q preparing to establish a location near Interstate 85.

Construction plans call for a new 5,822-square-foot, one-story restaurant at 1001 Bullsboro Drive, Newnan, Georgia 30265, the former site of Hooters.

The location puts Jim ‘N Nick’s in one of Newnan’s most active commercial areas, just off Interstate 85 and surrounded by shopping centers, hotels, restaurants and other businesses serving both Coweta County residents and interstate travelers.

Jim ‘N Nick’s is known for Southern-style barbecue, including smoked meats, pulled pork, ribs, burgers and its popular cheese biscuits. The company already operates another Coweta County location in Sharpsburg, and the planned Newnan restaurant would give the brand an additional presence in the county.

The City Menus has not reached out to Jim ‘N Nick’s directly, but construction plans currently show a fairly concrete start date around mid-November. We will continue to monitor the project and keep readers updated as work progresses.

As for Raising Cane’s, we do not have any additional information to share at this time. Plans submitted to the city remain in the system for a building in the same area that is currently open and still serving customers.

Plans currently describe the Jim ‘N Nick’s project as a 5,822-square-foot restaurant with one story above grade. An opening date has not been announced in the available project information.

The planned Jim ‘N Nick’s will be located at 1001 Bullsboro Drive in Newnan, near the I-85 interchange.
