At the September Carrollton City Schools Board of Education meeting, the board and district recognized the 2025-2026 Milestone Masters, a group of students who earned perfect scores on one or more sections of the Georgia Milestones Assessment, Georgia’s standardized test, which measures how well students understand what they learned in key subject areas.
These students’ achievements reflect their hard work and dedication to mastering content, including Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
The Georgia Milestones Assessments evaluate how well students have grasped key concepts and skills outlined in state standards. Achieving a perfect score on these assessments is a significant accomplishment and a testament to each student’s perseverance and academic ability.
In fifth through seventh grade, math was mastered across the board: fifth grade by Ava Martin; sixth grade by Logan Lane, Sophia Mielcarski, and Richard Sanchez; and seventh grade by Hunter Chen, Lilly Lovvorn, and Konsih Pisoh.
Among eighth graders, David Herman and Amar Patel perfected high school physical science while Rowen Larson and Orrin Maggiano set the standard for algebra.
High school students Jaden Amaya-Reyes and Olivia Inman achieved top scores in biology, Molly Wallis shined in U.S. history, and Joseph Woznicki mastered algebra.
This is the third consecutive year that Hunter Chen and Lily Lovvorn have been recognized as Milestone Masters, demonstrating their commitment to excellence. Jaden Amaya-Reyes achieved this accolade for the second year in a row as well.
Carrollton City Schools Superintendent Dr. Mark Albertus praised the students’ accomplishments, stating, “These students have done exceptionally well on their state assessments this past spring. We’re excited to celebrate our students’ commitment to their education and their impressive academic performance.” He also thanked the educators and families who consistently encourage these students and raise the bar for academic excellence.
