Great Decisions 2026 To Feature Discussion On Nuclear Proliferation Risks
Great Decisions, a project of the Foreign Policy Association (fpa.org), is back in Carrollton for 2026. The program invites the community to take part in non-partisan discussions on foreign policy from a U.S. perspective each Thursday in February and March.
Each week features a stand-alone topic. Programs begin at 6:30 p.m. with an informative video, followed by a presentation at 7:00 p.m. by a guest speaker. The speaker presents for approximately 30 minutes and then leads a group discussion until 8:00 p.m.
Sessions take place in Room 115 of the Nursing Building at the University of West Georgia (305 West GA Drive). Parking, including handicapped parking, is convenient to the location and free in the evenings.
Great Decisions 2026 is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Carrollton-Carroll County, the Rotary Club of Carrollton and the University of West Georgia’s Thomas B. Murphy Center for Public Service. Prior participation in Great Decisions programs is not required, and all are welcome to attend.
On March 12, 2026, the topic will be “Ruptured Alliances and the Risk of Nuclear Proliferation.” The speaker and discussion leader will be Dr. Johnny Waters.
