UWG To Host Public Parapsychology Lecture By Courtney Block

The University of West Georgia will host a free public lecture featuring Courtney Block, the 2026 Ingo Swann Research Fellow, on Thursday, Aug. 20, at 7 p.m. at Ingram Library on UWG’s main campus in Carrollton.

Block, an author, researcher and academic librarian, will share insights from her work highlighting the contributions of lesser-known women in the field of parapsychology. Her research explores anomalous human experiences, the history of psychical research and the cultural impact of consciousness studies.

The Ingo Swann Research Fellowship supports innovative scholarship in parapsychology and encourages creative use of Ingram Library’s Human Consciousness collections, including materials from the historic Ingo Swann archives.

The lecture is free and open to the public.
