Press Release from Kirk Richeson – Planting / Teaching Pastor with Christ The King Church
Three years ago Glenloch Baptist Church launched a small group out of the home of my wife and I in downtown Carrollton. The desire was to see a small group of Jesus followers meet together, share a meal, and study the scriptures. The prayer was that God would plant a church through this small group of believers meeting in the heart of our city to serve along side the churches here for the glory of Christ.
Fast forward three years, and this small group of believers had outgrown our house while seeing individuals trained, equipped, and sent out to serve throughout the state. God has displayed His faithfulness by bringing more people to worship Jesus and study God’s word. After years of prayer and preparation, this body of believers are now apart of a new church plant called Christ The King Church in Carrollton, sent out from Glenloch Baptist Church under the umbrella of the Carrollton Baptist Association, the Georgia Baptist Mission Board (formally the Georgia Baptist Convention) and the North American Mission Board with the support of Roopville Road Baptist Church and Bowdon Baptist Church among others.
Christ The King Church will launch January 1, 2017 at 11:am on campus at The University of West Georgia. We would love to have you and your family come and worship our King with us. For more information you can connect with Christ The King Church on Facebook, Instagram, or at [email protected] We hope to see you soon.
