Atlanta native Randy Burgess named owner/Operator of new concept replacing Dwarf House
Chick-fil-A franchise owner Randy Burgess will soon welcome guests to the newly-renovated Newnan Dwarf House, which will reopen under a new name – Truett’s Chick-fil-A – at 505 Highway 34 East. Burgess has begun hiring for upwards of 220 team members to prepare for the Aug. 31 grand opening.
Burgess is hiring for full- and part-time positions to work in all areas of the restaurant, including leadership positions focused on talent, training and administrative support. Chick-fil-A restaurant team members enjoy Sundays off, flexible schedules and the family atmosphere created at the restaurant.
Truett’s Chick-fil-A will feature a new vintage design inspired by things that Chick-fil-A Founder S. Truett Cathy cherished. The new design will also feature an improved, isolated drive-thru.
In addition to new design elements, Truett’s Chick-fil-A will introduce new menu items, including Loaded Southern Waffle Potato Fries, Battered Pickles and Crispy Sprouts. The re-designed Newnan Dwarf House marks the first of 11 Chick-fil-A Dwarf Houses throughout the country to be re-designed and renamed Truett’s Chick-fil-A.
Chick-fil-A has been named one of the best places to work by Glassdoor and is known for hiring, developing and retaining young talent and offering a supportive workplace with opportunities for leadership development. Other benefits include Sundays off, competitive wages and the opportunity to earn college scholarships.
Chick-fil-A employs more than 90,000 individuals through both corporate positions and franchised restaurant locations, who are eligible for the chain’s recently-launched scholarship initiative, Remarkable Futures. In its first year, the revamped scholarship program provided $8.8 million in annual scholarships bringing the scholarship total to nearly $46 million since 1973. Assistance is now available in three categories, with scholarships ranging from $2,500 to $25,000, based on leadership, community involvement and academic achievement. In addition, the third category provides employees with access to tuition discounts and other educational benefits at more than 70 colleges and universities across the country, with some offering up to 30 percent tuition discounts.
“We’re honored to continually be recognized as a top workplace and know that team members will continue to find the same opportunities for growth and leadership at Truett’s Chick-fil-A,” said Burgess, who has operated the restaurant for nine years. “We encourage community members who are passionate about serving the freshest food in a friendly environment to join our team.”
