Online Grocery Pickup Coming to Bremen Walmart

Residents in the Bremen area will soon have an added level of convenience when shopping at their local Walmart. The Bremen Walmart, located at 404 Highway 27 North, will soon see renovations to accommodate its new grocery pickup option.

Plans obtained by The City Menus show that a section of the Bremen Walmart will undergo renovations beginning in August to prepare to offer grocery pickup to its customers. The City Menus spoke with a store employee who provided details on the new service and when it may be available to customers.

“Grocery pickup is really simple and easy,” she said. “You just download the app on your smartphone and select the items you want. Then, once you get ready to come pick up your items, you open the app and click a button that will alert us that you’re coming to pick up.”

The employee noted that Walmart’s smartphone app uses location-sensing technology to provide the store with a time estimate as to how long it will take each customer to arrive.

The Bremen Walmart will have added parking spaces for customers who participate in Grocery Pickup.

“The customer just pulls up into the parking space and we will be waiting on them when they arrive to help them load their groceries,” she said.

The employee noted that the grocery pickup service is estimated to begin in April of 2019.

Other nearby Walmart locations already offer the service. Customers in Carrollton and Douglasville can take advantage of the grocery pickup service. To find out more about Walmart grocery pickup, click here.
