Sometimes we do cover other areas besides Carrollton, places that you have grown up with and ventured to when you wanted a change. I remember this Folks location off Hwy 5 very well. My family enjoyed traveling after church on Sundays to this good ole southern style restaurant. The current location is now on Arbor Place Blvd in the former Sonny’s BBQ building. The old Folks location was torn down last week to make room for a Popeye’s Chicken. If I am not mistaken, I believe this will be the area’s first Popeye’s.
