Save A Lot (Carrollton) Has Closed

Tower Plaza’s biggest occupant, Save A Lot grocery store, closed September 14 at 9pm. Rumors are flying about what store(s) will take it’s place. According to several sources, Big Lots seems to once again be eyeing the location. We will keep you informed on any developments. The Bremen location remains open and is doing great business.

Previous Story  9/6 – This horrible information comes from a company wide press release from Supervalu. The other store brands listed to close are Albertsons and ACME. Save A Lot will also close stores in Talladega, Alabama and Eufuala, Alabama. The Carrollton, Georgia store at Tower Plaza recently took the place of Southern Family Markets a few years ago. This is such bad timing for it to close because it sits right across the street from the new Veterans Hospital that is scheduled to open Sept 24.
