The French sensation Blue Brick closed at the end of 2012. Within the last few weeks we noticed construction and cleaning crews prepping the building for a new Southern style restaurant. This restaurant will be called the Southern Table and will be operated by a former sous-chef at Plates on the Square in Carrollton. The menu will feature Southern style food cooked with an Italian style. Several potential menu items include asparagus, corn, seasonal strawberries, made-to-order cornbread or cakes served in a cast iron skillet. We will report entree options as that information is made known to us. The Southern Table is planning to serve fresh, locally grown, West Georgia produce. The estimated opening is April 9th. The Southern Table will be located at 215 S Carroll Rd, Villa Rica, GA 30180 which is the old location of Blue Brick.
