We reached out to the Carrollton Fred’s today for comment about their closure in Temple. The employees stressed that the Carrollton location is doing just fine and would stay open. The Temple Fred’s has closed and will apparently reopen as Yazoo Trading Company. Yazoo Trading Company is a division of Fred’s and recently opened a store in Florence, AL. According to open records it appears that the Yazoo Trading Company name was trademarked only last month. Fred’s just may change several other locations in the next few months. Yazoo Trading Company carries discount hardware, auto supplies, pet supplies and feeds. This is a story to watch for any developments.
