AirTran’s Carrollton call center closed it’s doors yesterday at 5pm (July 24). This was followed by a farewell party for all employees, both former and current, complete with a catered dinner and snocones.
In its heyday, the center employed about 275 agents, but was down to about 50 at its close. Those who chose to stay with AirTran have been consolidated to a new center in Atlanta and will begin transitioning to Southwest employees on August 1st.
