The Carrollton Menu received word that the Checkers in Carrollton by Central High School closed early in the evening on September 6th. Unfortunately the Checkers in Bremen also closed several weeks before the Carrollton closure. At the time no reason was given about the closure. Due to sensitivity surrounding most closures The Carrollton Menu will stay away from many of the possible reasons. Our Facebook page lit up late in the evening on the 6th with speculation. Many haunting reasons. Several Checkers around the Metro Atlanta area have closed in the past several months. Also the Charlotte brand COOK-OUT is opening up in many of the previous Checkers locations around in Georgia. Primarily in college towns. We will see what happens and bring you any updates.
