NOW OPEN : The former Red Door Salon now has signs reading Southern Sister’s Gifts Coming Soon. The owner returned a phone call from us Monday. She just happened to previously own Chick-A-Dea’s that was located in the spot where Elle Salon is on the Square. She closed in 2009 due to family reasons. Her new store called Southern Sister’s will sell personalized gifts and more. She picked the name because of her daughters. They will help run her new shop on Maple Street by Hays Mill Rd. Southern Sister’s hopes to have some cute gift ideas, personalized stationary, and more. They will sell all sorts of gifts to be monogrammed as well. Recently the former Red Door / Quentin Rivera hair salon combined with Oasis Day Spa on Corporate Drive. The empty location then turned into a Hair Junkie. Hair Junkie closed within just a few weeks of opening. It has set empty for a year or so. A similar named store to Southern Sister’s is located in Grayson, GA.
