Close sources to The Carrollton Menu tell us that the Texaco on Highway 27 closed suddenly Tuesday evening. I checked the location and found a For Rent sign on the door with pumps boarded. The Alabama Street location was sold but is currently open at this time. A prospective buyer is in the works for the location off Highway 27 by Kroger and apparently the station will be rebranded. A rebranding means that the station will probably not be Texaco and will undergo a transformation into another brand. The gas station was supplied from a company out of Atlanta. Other details remain sketchy at this time. This is a developing story and we will have more later.
