Cook-Out was founded in 1989 off High Point Rd in Greensboro, NC. My grandparents actually live within walking distance of Cook-Out in Greensboro. We always can smell the juicy burgers cooking on the grill as we go by. The company today has right at 90 locations across North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, South Carolina, and now Georgia. Cook-Out is known for it’s burgers, fries, shakes, and bbq. Faith plays a big part in how Cook-Out operates. They have scripture verses on the wrappers of all their food. You most likely will hear Christian music as you dine inside. Cook-Out originally started out as a drive thru restaurant but now with the expansion in progress they are building sit down restaurants. Rome, GA will soon be home to Cook-Out’s newest location off Martha Berry Hwy in the former Mrs. Winner’s. Cook-Out also has a location in Statesboro, GA and a few under construction in Atlanta. A realty firm in Carrollton confirmed to us in December that the corporate real estate team for Cook-Out is watching Carrollton very closely. They really are going after the college towns.
