According to open construction records, the brand new 350 Room Westin Resort Hotel and Conference Center at the Foxhall Resort and Sporting Club is now in the construction planning stages. For the past several months it has been in the hold position. This will be the first urban sporting club in the US. We first noticed the possible project during the Summer of 2013. Soon after that we started noticing articles popping up all over the internet about the possible construction. You can click here to visit that article. Per the latest information gathered from our construction records, master planning is underway and more advancement would come during the Fourth Quarter of this year. An opening date has not been announced but all indications have the resort opening in 2016. Foxhall is located at 8000 Capps Ferry Rd in Douglasville and can be accessed from Highway 166 between Carrollton and Douglasville. Visit the full website here. Starwood Hotels and Resorts will open their Jekyll Island location on December 11, 2014.
