Dairy Queen begin testing the new DQ Grill & Chill concept in 2000, soon the Carrollton location will be converted into the new concept. Many local restaurants around Carrollton have begun to rebrand and renovate. Dairy Queen is next on the list. We spoke to several employees of the Highway 27 restaurant and they tell us that Dairy Queen is expected to close at the end of August. A complete rebuild would happen. No time frame was given on how long it would take for the rebuild. Many rebuilds have consisted of stone, masonry, awnings and patios. We were unable to get a statement from management before this story ran. If we receive any other updates they will appear below this story.
