Look for some improvements to the Newnan Rd / Bankhead Hwy intersection in the near future. The City will start on the project very soon. During a recent Work Session meeting the exact plans were discussed. One of the improvements mentioned was an easier right turn from Newnan Road onto Bankhead. The city would cut the road through the small grassy island to accomplish this goal. The sewer lines underneath the roadway would have to be replaced.
