A few days ago we spotted some land being cleared off Alabama Street directly next to the new landscaping store Everything Outdoors. The manager of Everything Outdoors told us to give SLM Recycling a call, so we did. The president of SLM Recycling, Patrick Denny informs us that SLM Recycling is adding a rail spur off Alabama Street. This will allow SLM to ship Ferrous metals to steel mills by rail. This will open up more markets for their growing business. Mr. Denny also tells us, “It will allow us to be more competitive and better serve local industry. SLM Recycling is currently located at off Brumbelow Rd by GA 16 ( Alabama St ).
