(Carrollton, Ga. – November 17, 2014) Villa Rica Elementary 4th grade students completed a 6 week Junior Achievement “Our Region” program through Mrs. Bell’s Social Studies class. Junior Achievement is an organization dedicated to inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in a global economy. Villa Rica Elementary is the first elementary school in Carroll County to offer this volunteer run program to its students. The “Our Region” program teaches students the economics of how regions contain resources and how entrepreneurs use those resources to make and sell the goods and services people need.
