Bay Springs Middle School Principal Receives Georgia Distinguished Principal Award

(Carrollton, Ga. – November 21, 2014) Bruce Tidaback, principal of Bay Springs Middle School, was recognized by the Georgia Association of Middle School Principals (GAMSP) at the Fall 2014 conference. Mr. Tidaback received the Georgia Distinguished Principal Award for District 13 (Carroll County, Carrollton City, Coweta County, Harris County, Heard County, Meriwether County, and Troup County school systems). Bay Springs Middle School was recognized by the state of Georgia as a 2014 Title I High Progress Reward School for being in the top 10% of Title I schools in academic progress. Mr. Tidaback has been the principal of Bay Springs for the last 12 years.

Six-time STAR teacher, Alice taught Advanced Placement English, literature, composition, speech and theater for over twenty years, part of which time she also served as Director of Admissions, Development, Public Relations, and Alumni at Oak Mountain Academy. She is the managing partner of Ridley-Teal Properties and content editor for the City Menus. She is a board member of the Carroll Symphony Orchestra and enjoys playing flute with the Carroll Community Wind Ensemble.
