Glanton-Hindsman Elementary Parent Named WSBTV Community Champion

(Carrollton, Georgia – December 10, 2014) A Glanton-Hindsman Elementary School volunteer, Richelle Carter, has been named the WSBTV Community Champion for the month of December 2014. WSBTV Film crews visited Glanton-Hindsman Elementary School on December 8th to film Mrs. Carter in action while volunteering in her son’s class.

Richelle Carter has been a dedicated volunteer at Glanton-Hindsman Elementary School for the last 10 years. She has also volunteered at Villa Rica Middle School and Villa Rica High School. Carter says she is most proud of the relationships she has formed with students while volunteering in Villa Rica Schools. Carter said students will often text her, send her messages on facebook, and call on her to watch them during sporting events.

Parent, Jennifer Grant, nominated Carter for the award. WSBTV presented Carter with a monetary award of $500.00.
