Villa Rica Teachers Receive Carroll EMC Bright Ideas Grant

(Carrollton, Ga. – December 15, 2014) The Carroll EMC Foundation awarded 2 Bright Ideas grants to Villa Rica Elementary School teachers. Music teacher , Mr. Geoffrey Harden was awarded $1000 to purchase Orff instrument bass bars to add to the existing orff instruments used in the music classroom. This is the fourth year in a row that Mr. Harden has been awarded a $1000 grant from Carroll EMC.

Villa Rica Elementary gifted teacher, Mrs. Angelique Kauffman, was awarded a $960 grant to purchase snap circuit kits for the 4th and 5th grade gifted students in their study of electricity and engineering. Students will put on an electricity fair for the school in the spring.
