UPDATE
On Friday December 26th Owner of the Carrollton Wendy’s Matt Van Paepeghem gave us a tour of the new store. The remodel features the next generation kitchen design. The new store has a higher ceiling, two flat screen TVs and a fireplace. There is an outside picnic area that will be perfect during the summer time. Both of mens and womens restrooms have been completely renovated and look very nice. The counter where you order is in the shape of a hockey stick. They will now call out your name to pick up your order. The new Wendy’s location has Coca Cola Freestyle machines that allow you to mix and match different drink combinations. You can also order your favorite drink combination in the drive thru as well, my personal favorite is cherry vanilla coke. Wendy’s will be rolling out a new tea flavor next year stay tuned. The location received all new furniture in the dining room as well as new equipment in the kitchen. The new Wendy’s location offers milk, juice, and apples. Due to the size of the store prior to the upgrade they were able to expand the kitchen to provide the staff with ample room to work in the kitchen. Your delicious hamburgers will be cooked made to order with fresh ingredients on a brand new double sided grill. Following the remodel the location will feature just one drive thru window while in the past they had two. They added an additional freezer outside for food storage. The kitchen and freezers were extremely clean and well organized. I hope you enjoy the new location as much as I did. Carrollton’s only Wendy’s has undergone a complete transformation to a fresh look. The new updated restaurant is expected to open this Saturday, December 27th per an email from management. A hiring event took place a few weeks ago at the Highway 27 location. If anything changes with the prospected opening we will let you know. Look for pictures and a tour posted to our Facebook soon!
