A brand new subdivision is currently being planned for the northern part of the county. This is the first zoning request application for the unincorporated part of the county since 2006! Wow! Southern Ridge Home and Development is proposing a subdivision at the corner of Old Van Wert Rd and North Van Wert Road just off Highway 61. The subdivision will consist of 23 new homes around the $150,000.00 price range. According to documents received by Carroll County Community Development each home is expected to be around 1,250 square feet. The entire project will sit on 20.78 acres just south of Villa Rica and will be going forth the planning commission on February 24th. On March 3rd the proposed subdivision will be presented to the Board of Commissioners.
