An 8 inch water main is being installed along N White St from Cedar to Newnan St (the main will also be installed from Newnan St to West Ave). Also, an 8 inch water main will be installed along N Coleman (from Cedar St to Newnan St). The water main upgrade (from the existing 4 inch to 8 inch) will provide better fire flow and water quality.
The existing 8 inch was located intersection at N White and Cedar St; therefore, the intersection had to be closed for one day to make the tie-in and lay the water main across the intersection.Â
