For over the last thirty years residents of the west Georgia area have known Scottie Jennings’ familiar face at The Furniture House of Carrollton on Bankhead highway. Scottie was the owner of the local furniture store and has helped furnish many homes from lake Wedowee to Athens and especially those here in Carroll county.
I, Corey Faust, have worked with Scottie for the past six years. Anything from delivery and assembling furniture to selling it, Scottie has shown me the ins and outs of what she did to run the store. Both Scottie and her husband Steve are considered family to me. Not only have they seen me grow from a college student to college graduate but also into a husband and father. Over the last year Scottie, Steve, my wife Leah and I have thrown around the idea of me buying the business. With careful consideration, we have decided to give it a go. On February second I became the owner of The Furniture House of Carrollton and on February sixth Leah and I experienced the birth of our first child. It was quite a week to say the least. We have been blessed to be able to have such a great relationship with the Jennings that would allow my family and the staff to continue to grow this company while allowing Scottie the much deserved retirement and time with her family.
Scottie set the precedent with her slogan “quality furniture at affordable prices” and we are here to carry on that motto for years to come. So, even if you just bought furniture and want to look around, or if you have been sitting on that old recliner that you’ve just had enough of, feel free to come to our store and experience the difference. Our staff members are eager to meet and help new customers and to continue helping already formed relationships with previous customers.
With this being said, I personally, along with my staff, invite everyone to come and experience The Furniture House difference.
