Apple Award Winner For Food Service Employee

(Carrollton, GA- March 20, 2015) Carroll County Schools recognized its March 2015 Apple Award Winner at the board meeting on March 19, 2015. Receiving the award for Food Service Employee of the Month was Ms. Robin Lynn Cook, School Nutrition Manager at Temple Elementary School. M​s. Cook was nominated by several of her colleagues stating she extends a premier learning environment into the cafeteria. With her wonderful, caring attitude, she makes the lunchroom a very special place. The students and faculty at Temple Elementary are greeted with a smile while she ensures everyone has healthy choices that are tasty and delicious. Temple Elementary is proud of their School Nutrition Manager and appreciates all she does for the students and staff of Temple Elementary.

Ms. Cook was honored with the system Apple Award plaque, a goody bag and a plant from Mountain Oak Florist, a business partner for Carroll County Schools.

Six-time STAR teacher, Alice taught Advanced Placement English, literature, composition, speech and theater for over twenty years, part of which time she also served as Director of Admissions, Development, Public Relations, and Alumni at Oak Mountain Academy. She is the managing partner of Ridley-Teal Properties and content editor for the City Menus. She is a board member of the Carroll Symphony Orchestra and enjoys playing flute with the Carroll Community Wind Ensemble.
