As promised, from time to time we will provide updates on Douglasville’s powerhouse retail hub Arbor Place. With no other closings announced and taking place, April’s edition will be a quick look at what’s open and what’s on the way. Most of the updates we have brought to you in other stories from the website, but its good to have a refresher.
The latest opening from Arbor Place is Francesca’s. With locations all around Metro Atlanta in most of the other powerhouse malls such as Town Center at Cobb, North Point, Mall of Georgia and Lenox Square, Francesca’s has made its debut in the West Georgia Region. Offering womens clothing and accessories, Francesca’s is located on the top floor next to JCPenney. Under construction now is Torrid, located on the bottom floor in the Macy’s wing, Torrid also is located in several areas around Metro Atlanta. Expect the opening of Torrid within the next 30 days. Coming soon right next to Francesca’s is Bijuju which we reported on in March. Arbor Place will be Bijuju’s first entry in Georgia with others planned for Town Center at Cobb and Mall of Georgia. No work is being done on the store now, so expect the opening sometime in May. Also moving soon is Enve salon, which appears to be owned by the same people that own Enve Barbershop on the ground floor next to Payless. They will be moving to the spot opened next to Sears and GameStop on the top level. No opening date given but at the moment are hiring for stylists.
That’s this month’s quick look at Arbor Place. With these new spots opening, there are now only 7 vacant spots at the mall out of 140. 2 of the spots are currently unavailable for lease meaning that we should be getting tenants for those spots soon. Those are the former P.S. spot, as well as the former Victoria’s Secret Spot on the top floor. We eagerly await who will fill those as well as the 5 other empty spots.
