Word this week of a new place to enjoy the sweet things in life. In the Shoppes on Chapel Hill Center located in front of Chapel Hill Middle School will be a new cupcake bar called Make A Cake. The new bakery hosts an operation for cupcakes like your favorite ice cream bar. Here, you pick your flavor, filling and frosting and toppings and the crew at Make A Cake goes to work crafting your confection masterpiece. The Grand Opening celebration is scheduled for Saturday May 2 from 6 to 8pm. The new store will be located in Suite K next to Bliss Salon. This shopping center already houses an eclectic variety of shoppes and eateries that include local favorite Burke’s Grill, as well as Knuckle Up MMA Fitness.
