Bowdon High School Jazz Ensemble Earns Superior Ratings

(Carrollton, Ga. ­ April 29, 2015) The Bowdon High School Jazz Ensemble participated in the Georgia Music Educators Association Jazz Band Performance Evaluations on April 21. The group earned the highest possible rating of “Superior” from each of the three judges.

The Bowdon High Jazz band is under the direction of Jimmy Mauney and student teacher Taylor Moore. The next performance for this group is Monday May 4th, 5:30 at Heritage Park in Bowdon.

Six-time STAR teacher, Alice taught Advanced Placement English, literature, composition, speech and theater for over twenty years, part of which time she also served as Director of Admissions, Development, Public Relations, and Alumni at Oak Mountain Academy. She is the managing partner of Ridley-Teal Properties and content editor for the City Menus. She is a board member of the Carroll Symphony Orchestra and enjoys playing flute with the Carroll Community Wind Ensemble.
