A conditional use permit application was submitted on Feb 23rd with Carroll County Department of Community Development for a new Verizon Wireless tower. The plans went before the Planning Commission just yesterday, April 28th, 2015. On May 5th, the Board of Commissioners will seek to approve the plans. The parcel under development would be located between Mashburn Rd and US 27 near The Cowboy Shop. Directly diagonal from this area is Roopville Road Baptist Church. In my recent times being at this particular church, cell phone service did not exist. So this new proposed 190 Foot monopole telecommunications facility would provide much needed relief for Verizon Wireless customers. For more details on this new tower you can click this link.
