Temple Middle School Student Wins State Championship

State Champion Track

 

(Carrollton, Ga. ­ May 12, 2015) The Temple Middle School’s Track team attended the 2015 Georgia Middle School State Track Meet held at Parkview High School. With over 1100 middle schoolers present and 77 schools and clubs represented, the level of competition was high. Temple Middle School had several top 25 finishes at this statewide event. Eighth grader, Elijah Thomas won the state high jump championship. Elijah was awarded first place out of 34 high jumpers. Elijah Thomas is the first State Track Champion from Temple Middle School. Elijah was coached by Joey Wilson and Kristin Vineyard.

Alice Ridley-Teal
Six-time STAR teacher, Alice taught Advanced Placement English, literature, composition, speech and theater for over twenty years, part of which time she also served as Director of Admissions, Development, Public Relations, and Alumni at Oak Mountain Academy. She is the managing partner of Ridley-Teal Properties and content editor for the City Menus. She is a board member of the Carroll Symphony Orchestra and enjoys playing flute with the Carroll Community Wind Ensemble.
