Glass to be removed from Carrollton Curbside Recycling Collection Effective Immediately

Carrollton, GA – Effective immediately: GLASS is no longer accepted in the Single Stream Curbside Recycling Collection in the City of Carrollton. This change is due to the increased contamination of materials due to the effects of broken glass. Most single stream processing equipment is not made to separate glass, and broken pieces and shards are a safety hazard for employees. Glass is also one of the worst contaminants; small pieces and shards can get stuck in paper, cardboard and plastic items, rendering them unable to be recycled. Glass can be recycled in Carroll County at any Convenience Center.

The City of Carrollton is very grateful for your cooperation as we implement this change. Please share this information with your neighbors!!
