For Immediate Release:

As a service to the public and in an effort to improve weather monitoring in the county, Sheriff Terry Langley is proud to announce that the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office now has its own weather monitoring station, located at 1000 Newnan Rd., Carrollton. Having a centrally located weather monitoring station allows the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Management Agency to have its own data, which we can provide to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City to use in forecasting and to local residents as well, with the equipment being checked and maintained in house by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office IT Division.

To access the weather data, you can view it online at:www.weatherlink.com/user/carrollsheriff or you can download an app for your smart phone!

For Android Users:
Go to the Play Store and search for “weatherlink,” and WeatherLink (Davis Instruments Corp.) will appear as a selection. Download and install. After the app has finished installing, open it and click the + sign to add a new station. Search for Carrollton, GA, select Carroll County Sheriff’s Office-EMA, then click Done. You will now see the current local data, as it is being collected.
