Update 8/22: Anna’s Linens is in its final days at Douglasville Pavillion, where items are now up to 70% off and they are in the process of selling fixtures. Head there now for their liquidation event. The store is expected to be closed before the end of the month.

Late breaking word today that a major retailer will be shutting its doors at all US locations in the coming weeks. Just a short time ago we spoke to an employee at Anna’s Linens on Chapel Hill Rd at Douglasville Pavillion (the Target Shopping center) and they confirmed to us that they will be shutting down shortly. The company just filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and will be liquidating all assets at each and every US store. Starting today everything at Anna’s will be 30% off and more. Everything must go from product in stores, to store shelving and equipment. The employee for Anna’s told us that no exact closing date has been set, but the closing should come soon. Anna’s just recently opened its Douglasville location at Douglasville Pavillion, the center that houses Target, Petsmart, Marshalls and Michaels. We will keep you posted when we get an exact date for closure as well as any news of a possible replacement for that part of the shopping center.
