Update: Construction Bidding in progress – Estimated Start Date April 1, 2016
This evening we attended the City of Bremen Planning and Zoning Commission meeting and learned more about a retail development. This particular development went before the commission to be re-zoned from R-12 to C-2, which is commercial. The commission approved the re-zoning and the final hearing is scheduled for August 17th at 7pm inside the City of Bremen Police Courtroom between the Police and Fire Departments. The developer has plans for a Dollar Tree store and an O’Reilly Auto Parts Store. The tract of land is located at the northeast corner of Highway 27 and recently renamed Mount Zion Bremen Rd which is now Music Mill Road. As you can see below this image shows in more detail about the area. You can click to enlarge. It is turned so that Highway 27 is at the top of the picture. A connection to Stonebridge Blvd would most likely be finished in these future plans.
