Local artists Ernie Hendrix and Jo Aldridge are the featured artists this month at the Dog River Library. Both artists paint in watercolors and acrylics and have varied subject matter. Ernie began painting when she retired about 3-1/2 years ago and has won several awards at juried shows. She loves painting old, rusty automobiles. Jo has been focusing on painting for 3-4 years and paints a wide variety of subjects. She also has won several awards at juried art shows. Â Both artists say that their love of color is what draws them to this art form.Â
This event is coordinated by the Douglas County Art Guild and is available for viewing in the community room at Dog River Library.
