Community leaders along with residents of The Stewart House celebrated the  ground breaking for the new chapel on Monday, September 28th. Director of The Stewart House, Melissa Newborn had a vision for The Chapel during a Lifegroup meeting she was attending. The vision for the chapel states that it will be a place for the entire community to find peace and rest. It will also host weddings and events for both the Stewart House and the greater community. The Chapel at The Stewart House will be open Monday –  Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. and  will be available for anyone to use during this time for prayer. Daniel Jackson, CEO of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce commented, “In this community there is a culture and legacy here of doing things for the right reason to take care of our people.” Metro West’s Scotty Hicks lead those assembled in the singing of “Amazing Grace.” R.K. Redding Construction, Inc. will start the construction of The Chapel at The Stewart House in one month. This will be a beautiful new addition to our Downtown Carrollton area.
