Give The Gift of Reading

CES Book drive

In an effort to do something that truly reflects the spirit of the holiday season, the faculty and staff of Carrollton Elementary School are going to reach out to the community and give back a little.

Now through Monday, Dec. 7, CES will be collecting new and gently used children’s books for students prekindergarten to third-grade-plus to distribute to CES students at their homes.

“On Dec. 17 after early release, we will have a faculty/staff luncheon and then head out on a field trip to the neighborhoods of the children we serve to give them the books we have collected,” said Karen Wild, CES principal. “Our teachers are really excited about doing this, especially this time of year.”

Drop off locations are available at all Carrollton City Schools libraries/media centers.
