Temple Middle School Attends 33rd Annual Georgia Junior Beta Convention

(Carrollton, Ga. ­ November 30, 2015) Temple Middle School attended the onsite community service project at the 33rd Annual Georgia Junior Beta Convention in Macon, GA. Junior Betas donated supplies and assembled dozens of bags of toiletries and essentials for the homeless, created colorful place­mats for the Thanksgiving dinners of various senior centers, wrote letters to troops, wrote notes of encouragement for elementary students, and donated 18 pounds of drink tabs for the AFLAC wing at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. The project was coordinated by Ms. Liz Banks of Temple Middle School.

Six-time STAR teacher, Alice taught Advanced Placement English, literature, composition, speech and theater for over twenty years, part of which time she also served as Director of Admissions, Development, Public Relations, and Alumni at Oak Mountain Academy. She is the managing partner of Ridley-Teal Properties and content editor for the City Menus. She is a board member of the Carroll Symphony Orchestra and enjoys playing flute with the Carroll Community Wind Ensemble.
