Sharp Creek Elementary Inducted 42 Students into the National Jr. Beta Club

(Carrollton, Ga. ­ December 7, 2015) Sharp Creek Elementary inducted 42 fourth and fifth grade students into the National Junior Beta Club on November 19, 2015.​T​hese students earned the privilege of being a part of the club by achieving all A’s and no more than 1 B within the first nine weeks of school. The club promotes leadership and community service. One of the many service projects planned is to create Valentine’s Day cards for senior citizens and deliver them right before Valentine’s Day. As they deliver the cards the students will visit with some of the senior citizens. The club is headed by Mrs. Katelynn Cooper of Sharp Creek Elementary School.

Six-time STAR teacher, Alice taught Advanced Placement English, literature, composition, speech and theater for over twenty years, part of which time she also served as Director of Admissions, Development, Public Relations, and Alumni at Oak Mountain Academy. She is a board member of the Carroll Symphony Orchestra and enjoys playing flute with the Carroll Community Wind Ensemble.
